In-ho Lee
Dr. In-ho Lee has a distinguished career as a diplomat and scholar. In 1996, she was named Korea's first woman ambassador serving for two years in the Republic of Finland, and then another two years in the Russian Federation. Since 2000, she has served as the president of the Korea Foundation in Seoul. A refugee during the Korean War, her family fled to Pusan until the armistice was declared in 1953. She began her studies at Seoul National University, but completed her undergraduate degree at Wellesley College, and eventually received a doctorate in history from Harvard University. Dr. Lee is a Russian scholar, who was the founding president of the Korean Association for Slavic Studies. Dr. Lee was elected Chairman of Asan Institute in January 2011.
